Beginner & Intermediate Sculpture Course (Tuesday Evenings)
Beginning and intermediate clay students will learn/further refine their clay building skills by creating a small whimsical sculpture of their choice. Students will concentrate on using fundamental clay practices to design and build their sculptures. Surface design through color, texture and carving will be emphasized and practiced. Students will also have demonstrations and hands on opportunities to use the slab roller, extruder, and wheel.
Dates: 6 weekly sessions beginning Tuesday, July 22 (Makeup dates September 2 and September 9, if needed)
Time: Tuesdays, 6:30-9pm
Instructor: David Gentry
Includes: Open Studio time, 1st bag of clay, use of studio tools and glazes, storage space, kiln firing
