Beginner Pottery Wheel Course (Tuesday Mornings)
Explore the beauty of pottery with our Intro To Wheel Course, designed to introduce beginners (even with zero experience) to the magic of the potter’s wheel. We’ll work on the fundamentals of throwing pottery on the wheel, especially centering. Projects will include pottery bowls and cups. We’ll also work on decorative techniques such as sgraffito, carving, applying slip, stamping, and of course glazing! You’ll be amazed how much you’ll learn over this six-week course!
Dates: 6 weekly sessions beginning Tuesday, July 22 (Makeup dates September 2 and September 9, if needed)
Time: Tuesdays, 10:00 am – 12:30 PM
Instructor: Gabriella King
Includes: Open Studio time, 1st bag of clay, use of studio tools & glazes, storage space, kiln firing
