Do you want to create more complex layered imagery and texture on your pieces? Are you looking to explore different clay products and techniques to personalize your work? Are you bored just dipping into some glaze buckets and want to play more with slips, underglazes, and decal printing? This workshop will teach how to successfully layer different products at the leatherhard, bone dry, and bisque-fired stages, as well as layering glaze over the whole thing without ruining it! We will learn to take our time, building up dimension and interest, and imagery into our favorite pieces. Students can bring their own leatherhard and bisqueware to work on, or work on tiles and simple pieces we have prepared for you. All materials, tools, and and firing will be included. Come on down and learn to take your pieces to the next level.
