Our multi-week courses and single-session beginner workshops are designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to work independently. You'll learn how our studio operates, where to find everything, and how to safely use our equipment. Think of it as earning the key to your new creative home.

Open Studio is an independent creative workspace. In order to make this arrangement successful, participants need to have some knowledge of pottery and clay techniques. In particular, we require that open studio participants…
…possess prior clay studio experience and demonstrate the ability to independently complete projects successfully.
…complete of at least one class at Suwanee Clayworks so that you can learn where supplies are located, etc.
…have prior positive interactions with Studio Management, ensuring mutual confidence in success.
…sign the Open Studio Policies & Procedures.
…agree to adhere to Suwanee Clayworks’ Policies & Procedures.
